NATIONAL CONSULTATIVE MEETING ON THE EAC SEXUAL REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH BILL
On 8th and 9th September 2021, MDFC Executive Director participated in the national consultative meeting with stakeholders on the East Africa Community (EAC) sexual and reproductive health bill, that took place at Lemigo.
The meeting was organized by the Health Development Initiative in collaboration with Eastern Africa National Networks of AIDS and Health Service Organizations (EANNASO) and Faith to Action Network.
The two days meeting brought together 40 participants from EAC with the following objectives:

1. To create awareness of the EAC SRH bill among different stakeholders at the national and regional levels.
2. To build and increase support for the EAC SRHR bill during the public hearings and tabling of the bill in parliament.
3. To build consensus with a wide range of stakeholders on the EAC SRHR bill.
